Anodyne Structures (2025)
I first operated a light microscope as part of a module in my university degree, where we were tasked to formulate a recipe for making acetaminophen tablets. Part of the process involved understanding how various factors, such as the size of the API could influence the characteristics of the final product.
Anodyne Structure emerged from this experience. The series captures the hidden geometries of acetaminophen, a commonplace pain reliever, as seen through the lens of polarised light microscopy. These scientific micrographs are reimagined with a dreamy aesthetic, inviting a closer look at the overlooked elegance of acetaminophen - a visual meditation on the delicate structures of relief.
